We have a fully dedicated host which houses our two servers. This is a professional paid host which means 24/7 uptime and no lag to speak of. This also ensures a great deal of security and safety for our server and players.

Donations

We currently offer some services and items here in tRo purchaseable through donations. We feel very strongly however that power and items of power should only be obtained through hard work in game and not through money. For this reason we mainly only offer services and the items we do offer either have no stats or only combo effects with items obtained in game. Effects can be added through our custom item creation option using in game event coins and items you have hunted. Check the guides section for more info on that. Also, most of our services can be obtained in game. Donation points can also be earned in game through our various PvP systems and voting rewards.

Servers

We have two servers, both managed by the same group of Administrators and game masters. Both servers share on GRF which means they're updated at the same time and will always be jointly available to the general player base of Thanatos Ro.

The two servers are generally the same in setup, the only difference being rates and customs. Custom items in Bliss Sanctuary (low rate) are much less powerful in stats when compared their Thanatos Tower (mid rate) counterparts. Custom features are also the same in basic composition. The only real difference is availability and method of obtaining. Some features are obviously missing from the low rate server in order to maintain the low rate integrity. Mainly some house service options which involve buffing and food item obtaining.

History of Thanatos Ro

Thanatos Ro was created in early March of 2006 by a group of Ragnarok players who were tired of bug filled private servers with nothing much of interest in them. They decided to band together and create a server of their own in the hopes that many would find it enjoyable. The key participants in this were GM Thanatos and GM Bliss, then boyfriend and girlfriend (now husband and wife) who were and still are the hosts and owners of Thanatos Ro and about three other people who's names are at this point not actually remembered. All were living in France at the time. The original starting group has disbanded over time but Bliss and Thanatos have remained determined to make this server something amazing. Through much trial and error and many, many hours spent learning and working on every type of server situation imaginable we have withstood the test of time and with the help of our dedicated players and our incredible GMs continue to offer a fun, exciting and unique server to all.

In February of 2008 we began a new project to compliment our first. We opened a new low rate version of our mid rate server. We enjoy the low rate experience greatly and while it's still a very new and lightly populated server we have every hope of it growing and becoming an amazing community of it's own. We're fully dedicated to the growth and well being of both of our servers and still, after these two years of server administration, we're loving every minute of it. Even more so now with the added interest and challenge of a low rate server.
